A Life Shaped by Four Continents, Creativity, and Service

Born in Uganda and rooted in Indian heritage, Prakash’s life has carried him across Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America. His journey as a Ugandan refugee, immigrant, husband, father, writer, artist, and volunteer has shaped the heart of his story.

His memoir, Life in Four Continents, reflects this remarkable journey. Through memories of family, displacement, belonging, forgiveness, hope, and service, the book shares lessons learned from a life lived across cultures and continents.

His Journey

Prakash’s story is one of courage, adaptation, and gratitude. After being uprooted from Uganda, he eventually made Canada his home while carrying with him the values of his Indian heritage, his family’s sacrifices, and the lessons learned through life in different parts of the world.

His experiences gave him a deep understanding of people, struggle, opportunity, and compassion. They also inspired him to preserve his family history and share a message of hope with future generations.

A Storyteller at Heart

Before becoming known as an author, Prakash was also a journalist and community writer. His colleagues recognized him as an international journalist because of his interest in people, culture, history, and the shared struggles of communities around the world.

His writing has always been more than words on a page. It has been a way to preserve memory, honour heritage, tell meaningful stories, and encourage future generations to understand where they come from.
